I have to be honest,I was watching it through my fingers at the 10th/11th. I was talking to his coach on Saturday morning and I asked why he was back home already (Michael that is), he said Rory was fine and they didnt tinker with his game during tournaments. I really wanted him to win, plus his dad has a small bet running since Rors was a child regarding winning a major.
I am fairly sure that wee Rory won't be too fussed about being regarded as an Irishman by many..........he'll just be thanking the lord no-one regards him as English.

Rory always has been Irish as far as I'm concerned considering he as born in Ireland and all that.
It would be a bit like claiming Greg Norman as one of ours as we once occupied Australia.
Personally felt sorry for him but plenty of other great players did the same early on so here's hoping.
Oh and it was just a joke! If you follow Twitter worse has been said direcly to him and he's not committed suicide yet!
