I just want to test a theory I've read about.

Think of an animal, but DON'T think of a Monkey.

Please answer the poll question, I'm really curious about the split of results. :)

If you thought of something else but an image of a monkey kept appearing inside your head that doesn't count as thinking of something else.

Vokey wedge?

Wow. 1 reply before I'd even posted the topic lol.

I'm just trying to find out how many people can actually stop themselves thinking about something that's suggested to them, even though I've said 'don't'.

Have you been reading "Zen Golf" by any chance?

Ommmmmmmmmmmmmm:mmm:

I've had it ages, yes. (The slow motion thing really does work, and I think it was Amanda I suggested 'making a mark' to, but not heard how it's gone).

I just thought I'd put it out there while there's a bit less golf being played in case anyone wanted to while away 5 seconds to stave off the boredom. :o

I find that thinking about missing a putt or messing up a shot is not a bad thing but bad things do happen when you worry about or start thinking about thinking about a bad shot!

and yes, I thought of a Vokey Wedge too.

I mean Monkey.

Apparently men think about sex every 7 seconds, I read that question at my 7th second........
how do I erase that image out my head now:eek::o

A number 4 bus.

That is because I had just read a news item on the BBC website which had this in the final paragraph:

"Officers also believe the same man was responsible for a sexual assault on the number 4 bus"

A favourite, I got it as an audiobook and have listened to it many times. Now if you'd said "Don't think of the Stay Puffed Marshmallow man", then I'd have struggled.;)
