A little look at the Titleist 915D

Hi all,

View attachment 11185

Speed slot type thing, nice mute colours.

Is it just me or is that the most pointless view of a golf club?

Why do magazines always show you the bottom of a club but rarely the top view, surely that is the only one that really matters?

Who cares what it looks like from worms eye view, as long as a club isn't off putting when you are playing your shot that's all that matters.

Absolutely... Especially when the typical appeal of a Titleist is the more traditional shape. Hope they haven't fiddled with that element too much. Will try to get a sneaky look in a bag or two when at the Open :D

wish they had of built a sexy sldr!

they show the bottom of clubs as that's where all the so called tech can be viewed!

in this club they have swiped the compression chamber from an old nike driver.

supposedly this chamber helps shots that are hit low on the face, below the sweet spot. could be right up my street! v my 910 is peppered there!

Yep, I am pretty keen in the bottom of he face.... :o

Hopefully both the new Mizuno 850 and the Titleist 915 will be out later this year, early next year, Christmas and my Birthday are close together, so I'll be telling wor lass, no socks or slippers, I'll just have the cash please, towards a new driver. :D

All the new TIt drivers look weird behind the ball to me. Both my old Mizuno drivers are open and i think the Callaway is slightly and they all look fine.

Took me an awful long time to get used to the 913 after the 909 and I am still only accepting of it. I will not be racing to buy another as things stand at the moment.

Looking down on one of these always looks like to much offset, though one with only 7.5 doesn't look as much.

think your confusing offset with open/closed. No Titleist drivers are offset.

The new Mizuno 850 certainly looks slightly closed though from the pictures with LD recently, maybe just the pic angle.

Personally I think the 915 looks like a Titleist of old and I personally will be testing and hopefully purchasing when its out (D3)

This appeals , I really like the subtle looks, but the power channel slot in the top of the crown just ruins it for me.

I've got to agree with my brother from the northern shores, I'm really into seeing the 850. I generally run my club as is, but the ability to crank COG up and down depending on wind would be a massive gain around my track on the downs, more so than open /closed, more loft less loft etc.

you looking at the right pics/club?
