If you were to look back on this in 10 years time it would be seen as a minor adjustment to trading arrangements and of no real significance.
That is exactly what a business expert said on question time ( independent of any political party) last Thursday in Scotland. She was ripped to bits by the audience who did not want to agree with her. But incidentaly could not say why. She was also ripped to bits coz she said that Scotland would more than struggle to financially run itself.
Was that the woman whom the BBC failed to mention was an advisor to Scotland in Union. No surprise there.
Also the planted audience 'Orange Man' whom the BBC 'forgot' to report was a former [34 votes ] UKIP candidate.
Was he the fella who delivered a rant early on in the prog? My instant thought was 'bet he's a bluenose' (such stereotype thinking by me when I know that not all bluenoses think that way, and that it is not only bluenoses who think that way - so apologise to all Gers supporters). And he's a Billy. What a surprise![]()

Careful DfT, you're starting to sound like a Leaver with your refusal to listen to people because of who they are rather than based on what they have said. A bit like those pesky 'experts' during the referendum who kept coming up with reasons to vote Remain but got dismissed by the Leavers.
