A Hard Brexit's Gonna Fall

Yes that's right, we need to wake up to the fact that Brexit means breaking away and forging our own future rather than hanging on to the EU's apron strings.

If the only way the EU can encourage it's members to stay is by threatening them with punishment if they leave then we are better off out of it. Britain is the first domino in the line.

Nothing new here, many think that the EU is going to implode at some point.
Probably better to be out early than wait and get caught up in the fallout.

But just coz it's in the papers doesn't mean it's a fact, it's one journalists opinion and there will be other journalists with opposite opinions

One thing it isn't is a self fulfilling prophecy

Surely what happens in the French, Dutch and German elections next year will have a massive bearing on Brexit. I think it's a bit early to be deciding that a hard Brexit is the only option. If Le Pen and Wilders pick up a lot of support along with the German AfD then this time next year it could all look very different. No point trying to predict what Brexit will look like until the results of those three elections are known.

Watched question time the other night from Scotland. Seems to me a lot of the Scotish don't like dealing with facts when it don't go there way. Ie, one woman said "we voted to stay in the EU". Yup another woman said "we voted to stay in the UK TWICE". "We want our independence", another said. The reply was "do you think you will get that in the EU".
Of course Scotland voted to stay in the EU, a lot of the problems plaguing the UK don't affect the Scotish jock public.
my point is do not think for one minute it is only the people of the UK That are disenchanted with the EU. As some have said, the uncertain waters ahead are preferable than the rapids we are already in.

I think if we've learned anything from politics this year, be it in Scotland, England or the USA, it's that facts don't matter to people who think they know better.

I think that's what I was kinda trying to say. Unfortunately sometimes votes-elections don't go your way. But you had your chance of putting your big fat X wherever and that's it. Remember sitting at the top of me back garden close to tears with me head in me hands when Kinnock and his Labour mob did not get in
( late 80's ). But that's how the cookie crumbes.
Dont know what it is about elections nowadays, but I'd it don't go your way, anarchy, marches and Facebook seem the way to go.

One persons fact is another's work of fiction... I tend to apply life's experiences when deciding which way to vote... And, I fancy, many others have followed this method in recent times...

One thing I've learnt is that the political classes are short on facts but really good when it comes to spouting guff...

Is it not strange that we have had 2-3 generations since Europe had a major war? I mean before the EU, Europe were having some dust up nearly every 20 years if not more frequently. There has been no "in" fighting for 50+ years.
Did we or have we forgotten about November the 11th ? Wasn't the last war pretty devastating or shall we have another, you know a little purge, help unemployment, get some architectural opportunities?
Nationalism is great isn't it.....

I am sure some will say that's over reacting but just open your eyes and look around

Depends who's practising it I suppose; apparently it's great when Nicola Sturgeon practises it against the wishes of the majority, not so when Theresa May practises it at the behest of the majority.

I cant see what the EU has done to keep the peace or stop a war. NATO seem to have been the peace keeping force, I dread to think what would happen in a time of conflict if we had to rely on the EU to resolve anything. Just look at the current migrant debacle for evidence of how effective the outfit is.
