Yes that's right, we need to wake up to the fact that Brexit means breaking away and forging our own future rather than hanging on to the EU's apron strings.https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2016/nov/19/europes-leaders-force-uk-hard-brexit-farage-le-pen.

Watched question time the other night from Scotland. Seems to me a lot of the Scotish don't like dealing with facts when it don't go there way. Ie, one woman said "we voted to stay in the EU". Yup another woman said "we voted to stay in the UK TWICE". "We want our independence", another said. The reply was "do you think you will get that in the EU".
Of course Scotland voted to stay in the EU, a lot of the problems plaguing the UK don't affect the Scotish jock public.
my point is do not think for one minute it is only the people of the UK That are disenchanted with the EU. As some have said, the uncertain waters ahead are preferable than the rapids we are already in.
I think if we've learned anything from politics this year, be it in Scotland, England or the USA, it's that facts don't matter to people who think they know better.

Most of it was prediction as it's a bit difficult to say what facts the future hold.I think if we've learned anything from politics this year, be it in Scotland, England or the USA, it's that facts don't matter to people who think they know better.
Is it not strange that we have had 2-3 generations since Europe had a major war? I mean before the EU, Europe were having some dust up nearly every 20 years if not more frequently. There has been no "in" fighting for 50+ years.
Did we or have we forgotten about November the 11th ? Wasn't the last war pretty devastating or shall we have another, you know a little purge, help unemployment, get some architectural opportunities?
Nationalism is great isn't it.....
I am sure some will say that's over reacting but just open your eyes and look around
I cant see what the EU has done to keep the peace or stop a war. NATO seem to have been the peace keeping force, I dread to think what would happen in a time of conflict if we had to rely on the EU to resolve anything. Just look at the current migrant debacle for evidence of how effective the outfit is.Is it not strange that we have had 2-3 generations since Europe had a major war? Well made point, I may have to reconsider my complete opinion of the EU based on it :thup:GYABM....
