they can make a timely claim before any player in the match plays from the next teeing ground; with the only other relevant element being if they had agreed the procedure that was followed at the time (in which case there's no valid claim but this was clearly not the case here).

No need to Duncan, they absolutely did agree every part of the procedure and to the extent that one of the opposition even measured my 2 club lengths with his own driver. It was only as we walked away that one of them said that he wouldn't have accepted my score if I had either halved or won the hole, no suggestion of an infringement was made during the play of the hole.
