Had a great day down at Princes today with Jon, Leftie and a mate of mine Bob Eagle. Was a tad windy at times, and once the sun disappeared behind the clouds it got a bit nippy as well. But the course was in fantastic condition, couldn't fault it at all (unlike my golf!).
Played Stableford, John won with 31 points, Leftie had 29, myself 28 and Bob 27, so fairly close going. We also had a betterball match going on at the same time with myself and Bob taking on Jon and Leftie. Bob & I were 3 up at the turn, but some good play by our opponents saw them draw the match level at the 17th with it all to play for going down the last. We ended up halving the match, which on the face of it was a fair result. As I say, the course was fantastic, the greens were superb bearing in mind the weather we have been experiencing of late, all credit to the greenstaff down there.
Thanks once again Jon, it was a pleasure to meet you and to meet up with Leftie again. Looking forward to the rematch at Chartham Park in February... ;) ;) ;)

Good stuff fella! Sounds like its time for some golf porn!

I hope you aren't thinking of joining the blade brigade as well

Jon

Great news that you are getting on well with the blades. Why is it you only thin a ball in winter when the hands are cold and so it bloody hurts?

Forgot that one rob, that was a sweet hit mate, enjoyed that one!

Seriously though, really enjoyed it yesterday.

So did I Jon. Great day.
Problem for me is that the boss had tried to contact me twice yesterday while I was on the course, rang him from the car to find out what he wanted......World War 3 is looming at work today....
