95

Well done mate, still remember that elated feeling, great effort, now you have done it once you will be looking to break 90 before long. PMA works every time!!

Well played fella! Important thing is that you now know you can do it. Try not to put too much pressure on yourself and let it come naturally. Looking forward to hearing about you breaking 90! :D

I can highly recommend the sausage and black pudding ... It was an early morning game ..... Playing the north west national on Saturday just for a reality check I must have lost about 14 balls in 2 rounds there....

Is that the one out by the M58, I looked at it last year on the internet, but not sure if it was still open. The website is rubbish. Is the course any good?

Are you a member of Dudley or Allerton, doing well getting early tee times. Years ago, you had to ring up for 7.00 and speak to Barry Large or get up to the clubhouse for the following week. All before the private clubs let reprobates like me deign to join them.

No just phone early a week before I am not a member anywhere .... Its just of the lancs it ran out of money halfway through the build of the clubhouse but its a decen enough course... Long though. Are you thnking of beacon park that's just off the 58 that's long and a bit hilly but nice and tidy

No, your right I think it is the national. Loads of talk before it opened, but haven't heard much since. I think it is off the Rainford bypass. How much is the green fees Summer/winter and is it in good condition, bearing in mind their financial troubles.

My advice is join a club, if you really like your golf. I played the munis such as Allerton, Arrowe park, Bowring, Hoylake, Sherdley etc for 15 years and got down from 140 a round, down to about 15 handicap. Since joining a club have managed to get down further to 9 and now play in opens all over the north west. Being in a club also opens up other avenues. If you change your mind in future look no further than our course (Lee Park) which is friendly, good course, and generally a working class club, with lots of ex-muni golfers in it.

No joining fee at the mo(I payed £700.00 6 years ago, albeit over 10 years), but green fees are about £850.00 a year, but membership is open, and I've got a mate who does the interviews. Have you played it?

Yeah that's the one its 22 at the weekend. Like I say the blubhouse isn't complete so u pay at the range and shop. . The course is ok . The fairways could do with a cut in places but its a tough course loads of water.

I'm not really in the situation to join a club at the moment both financially and time wise. But have played lee park twice as there is another lad on here who is a member. It looks a decent place to play year round

Yeah, its now good for 10-11 months a year, but the greens have been great now for 2-3 years. Out of about 20-30 different courses I play a year, I'd put ours in the best 25% over the last few years.

What is the lad's name/moniker, I may know him.
