I'd just like to know if I'm cracking up or not?!

I had mine set to 'most fade' because I thought the club looked a little closed compared to my old 909, thinking that most fade = most open.

I've just had a play with it because I was bored and curious, thinking maybe I've got it wrong because you're adjusting lie angle not face angle.

Anyway, I put 3 markers down for feet and ball position, then played around with the settings, and to me the club looks a little more open when it's on the 'most draw' setting

Anyone else played around and been able to tell the difference at address?

I'm going to leave it like that for now and play tomorrows game with it.

Just to make it clear, I'm not trying to set the club up for a certain ball shape. I'll work around the ball shape I get (if it does change) if and when it happens, but seeing what looks to me like a square face at address gives me more confidence.

Mine's set up for more draw, and loft too, but in all honesty, I cant see the difference either !
Its either miniscule to the eye, or no difference at all !

Try as I might, I cant see how the steps on the adjuster collar change things, the 'lugs' all look the same depth etc, and if they werent, the club wouldnt nip back together neatly would it !

Confused

Must be real, must work, but with my rather rusty swing at the moment, its difficult to truly tell !
I did bomb a couple away last Sunday, so signs are good ;)

At my fitting today we started at A1.
We tried s different one - can't remember which - and it did look different and I hooked it big!
When I get mine I'll have a play....

I've been getting a 5-10 yard draw mostly with mine on the 'most fade' setting.

I'll let you know if everything goes miles left tomorrow, but like I said above, it looks more open to me on the 'most draw' setting. Strange.

I've left the loft adjustment alone because I like the flight I'm getting.

I have mine set up for 1.5 degree added to the loft making it 11 degree however its set as neutral, although the occasional snap hook has crept in but I blame that on my swing, not the club!

I may move mine a setting to put it slightly open but I'm more than happy with it and think I should just stick with it as thats what my fitting came out as!!!

I have mine at +1.5° too, although mine is 10.5 to start with making 12 in total.

We didn't really explore the left/right bias at the fitting, apart from starting at neutral then trying it for more fade just because I thought it looked closed. It didn't appear to make a difference to the ball flight.

Just used mine on the range for the first time today and just had it set on A1 and it looks square to me. First drive was a huge hook then i topped about 3 in a row and thought "oh no here we go" but after that i was hitting it pretty well.

My bad shot used to be a big high slice but now with this i seem to pull it slightly or get a nice fade. The ball flight is so much better and penatrating but that's down to the stiffer shaft.

Next time i'm at the range i'm going to have a mess about with the settings to see if i notice a diffrence.

The verdict is in, and it's official...

...I'm a weirdo

With it set to most fade in previous rounds I was hitting 10-15yd draws for most of the time with the occasional pulls and pushes.

Today I had it set to most draw. It looked more open at address than before (see the weirdo comment above!). I used it 8 times. 5 dead straight (which is what I want), 2 x 5yd draws and 1 x 5yd fade (which I'll very happily live with thank you very much).

So, :D at the same time, but I'll take it.

Now I need to find me an R11 owner to take on :D

Mine is still at a1 position but may try and add some fade st the range as my bad shot is a hook.

Still loving it though! Think the shaft is the biggest improvement over my reg driver as i am much, much more consistent with it. Maybe a touch longer aswell which is a bonus when added to better direction.

Sure you weren't looking at the chart for left handed players?

I did think that for a moment but no, it's the RH chart.

I've just found another version of it from a thread on the wrx site that seems to suggest that I can't have the extra loft without closing the face!
All you can do is to adjust the lie angle.

See all this changeable technology is just another cause of greying hair and furrowed brows. Give me a bog standard 10.5 degree regular flex and I can hook and slice it with ease. Any make, any model

Only if you let it. I think it's fun.

Some of us aren't happy with that :D

On the look for a 909 if any 910 owners have upgraded ;)

I've got one in the FS section if the shaft suits you. Can negotiate the price since it hasn't sold yet. I'd said I was going to put it on ebay but not got round to it yet.

Titleist advertise the club as being adjustable for loft and lie separately, so I expect that is true as it wouldn't have passed legal otherwise.
