After watching Loose change i can say there are questions that need answering, especially for the familys involved.
Of course the outcome wont effect me,i hope, but the programme really made me stand up and take notice.
The bit about the plane that hit the Pentagon and passenger flight 93 was very interesting.
Its just over an hour long,i would be interested in your thoughts.

.

There's a film called United 93 that tells the story has anyone seen this? I dont know if they will showing this but will keep a look out.
Yea i have it on dvd , bit too dramatised id say , not sure you could or maybe even should have dramatised this been honest , theres a part where people are ringing home to say goodbye , id say in reality that must have been so hard, (hard is wrong word but i cant think of other word) .. enjoyed the film but not sure it should have been made

I remember the day as i was in the Navy at the time and we were dont war excercies off the plymouth/portland coast at the time , when the captain announced it over the tannoy, we were all shocked but at first thought it was part of the ecxercise! the exercise was finished straight away and we headed straight into port.

Some of this conspiracy stuff is seriously insulting to the families of the people who died. All this crap about "the Twin Towers were rigged with explosives".

It would have taken a team of some 40 demolition experts about six months to prep a building like that to collapse. And there would have been tons of evidence of wires and detonators in the rubble.

9/11 was a terrible event - these programs that have been shown help remind us of the memories and that we must never ever forget and never ever let these ******** win.

The whole thing was numbing and still is....

two things haunt me about it.......

1. If you told people arriving for work at ten to nine that in 20 minutes you will be voluntarily throwing yourself out one of the highest windows to die you would be locked up, it beggars belief.
2. The poor people on the flights told to phone relatives as you will all die in the next few minutes still sends chills and revulsion through me.

Give your loved ones an extra hug today and count your blessings.....

What thoughts must be going through your head standing at that window , choosing how to die , there was a suppliment in a paper here last weekend think it was called JUMPERS , name is sooo wrong for a start, on average depending on weight etc it took 10 seconds to hit the ground , how could ya even imagine that 10 sec or the seconds before jumping . interesting story of how a fire team arrived at building , as they were headin in a person fell on the 1st firefighter & killed him , his crew stopped with him & took him for attention , the building then came down , they would all have been killed if it didnt happen , only 1 fire crew didnt loose a man , nicknamed the dragon firecrew from china town .

10 years ago I managed a call centre which supplied International Operator services - I remember the US phone network going into meltdown as people tried to get thru to their friends/family in NYC - very sad.
Ironically I now work for an American investment bank, and now have colleuges who were in the business back then. People who they dealt with in NYC on a daily basis were simply gone that day...

Unsure if we are in a better place now, but we should not forget any of them - NY, Penn, DC, Bali, London....and the innocents impacted in the Gulf

Peace please.

My thoughts are that the loose change production "company" is run and operated by buffons. I was watching a programme on c4 and it had an interview with him, they asked a question and he didn't know the answer so resorted back to "It was the government that did it".

I need a rolling eyes smilie here!

Some really interesting programmes on about it this week. The president Bush interview gave a good insight to what decisions were made on that day & why. I've never been his biggest fan but you had to sympathise with the decisions he had to make on that day. The programme last night about how they tracked down Bin Laden was also compulsive viewing.

Were any of these on Aunty Beeb? Would love to catch them on the iPlayer if so.

Don't think so C4 & sattellite...the one on C4 should be available on the C4 website

Not got a comment really. But we have had 30 odd years of the IRA up here in Manchester, a lot longer in total.

What's that got to do with it? It's not a competition. :D

Both are devastating in their own right, but 9/11 was so out of nowhere. I watched a program on the Beeb last night about it and re-watched the footage. Still couldn't believe it was real.

The destruction was just epic and not in a good way.

I vividly remember where I was when I found out - After school, at home on my PC listening to "Chop Suey" by System of a Down. To this day, every time I hear the song, it reminds me of 9/11.

Also, my friend's birthday is Sept. 11th.

Was just a reminder of event near home. Not ment any other way. Yes 9/11 was bad. But so are many more event that dont get the same atension.
I was in Manchester when that bomb went off. No more than 500yrds away. Belive me it put the wind up me a tad.

It hit home to me so much, as just a few years earlier I was on the top floor of the south tower with my wife, two young daughters and my New York Cousin, along with dozens of other tourists. My New York cousin was talking about an earlier attempt in 1993 when they drove truck packed with explosives into it.

He said just imaging if they brought this down how bad it would have been. I remember grining to myself thinking no way! an atom bomb couldn't bring these down. How wrong I was. I phoned my cousin in New York on the night of 9/11, I had never heard so much anger in a mans voice

Yes could have been worse. I'd forgotten that another plane taken by terriorists on the day was "won" back by some very brave passengers. Sadly the plane was still lost due to the fight onboard but came down in the middle of nowhere.

Absolutely tremendous film. I'd recommend watching it.

We'd just dispatched an aircraft to New York about an hour before the attack, they had to turn around mid Atlantic and come back to the UK as the US airspace closed down.

Terrible day, absolutely shocking.

Hi All

If you looking for information on 911 you need to start off by watching a documentary called Loose Change. Link available if wanted.

Totally changed my opinion on the whole thing and to be honest cahanged my whole outlook on life!

"War is good for business" - thats pretty much all it comes down to!

It was a very sad day. :(

I was at home getting prepared to go off to uni. I watched it from just after the first reports of a plane hitting the WTC. Seeing the second plane hit was a very scary moment and also seeing the Pentagon on fire too.

I hope the reports of people planning to disturb the silence planned in London on Sunday aren't true. It would be disgusting for people to protest and disrupt the silence.

Which it is. However the people that run it are morons, they were being interviewed by a documentary crew from c4 and idiots doesn't come close.

Myself and some mates were returning from a week-end at Celtic Manor when this happened. We had called in to play at Castle Coombe in Wiltshire on the way home as one of the guys lived locally and had recommended it to us as a "must play".
As we finished, and got in the cars to head home, my mate Ray shouted across "turn your radio on to the news".
Couldn't believe what we were hearing.
My daughter is flying out to Spain tomorrow. Seems weird.

not sure what your saying there Chris. Loose Change was an independant film not made by Channel 4 and it was the first of many but it identifies the fundamental questions that need to be asked.

Why is there a 14ft hole in the pentagon when it was supposed to be hit by a jumbo jet?
Why are some of the hijackers still alive?

and most of all why did building 7 fall like a controlled demolition? Dont even bother slagging me off until you know the answers.

15 minute documentary here:
