Two birdies and a perfect eagle on a par 5,recover with a bogey after 3 off the tee on a par 4, I lipped out with 4 first putts today, yes 4  and had I not been really silly and casual on two holes (notching up my second 3putt of the year in serious play)and putting without any propper checking, it would have been a pretty damn good round, the guy I played fancied me to par the course today and he was only 3 shots out :D.

So I have had a great round :Dyet walked off feeling a little disappointed in myself for letting a simple short putt go astray, and for hooking OOB on one hole:(

Not bad for a guy who's 75 and he doesn't look a day over 60 ;) happy birthday
Btw, your on the map now :)

:D :D :D
You should have been there Bob, you would have been impressed with the putting......well except those two dopey ones I mentioned :D

Look on the bright side.

Im slowly beggining to realise how you have so many posts...you post a completely worthless commment on almost every thread, sometimes more than one!!

Good score mate, those bad holes will now be the reason you come back, rather than that cracking drive up the last or the long putt you holed for birdie! Those holes cost you a course record today!!

Hope you repaired your pitch marks and showed the course respect when missing your putts! :p

Almost always do, but I am human and can miss the odd pitchmark now and then in the excitement, but I make up for it by repairing more than I make in a round, I dont think Id miss 10 though:p

Me neither. That statement doesnt fill me with confidence though :p

There is something on our first tee actually which I cant remember word for word, but basically says that if a pitch mark is left unrepaired for longer than 15minutes then it is more or less pointless putting it back.

Doesnt fill you with confidence?????? What doesnt?
You should be more confident that I am the type of golfer who will repair pitchmarks that errr...others have left.
No its not pointless, thats the excuse of the pitch mark repair avoiders. It just takes longer to recover after a delayed repair. If they are never repaired you end up in the course of time, playing on a spotty pock marked teenagers face. :rolleyes:unless major work is carried out by green keepers. You can often tell the quality of players at a club by the state of the greens between the time the green keeper has been and returns. ;)
