49 points

I make that 16.2 next time you go out. If I was playing with you I'd be dying for you to putt out on the stroke 17 and 18, where the sledges would be lining up...

Well done!

Good going Parmo!
I had 49 points last year - got cut 6 strokes and have been struggling ever since! Good luck with the new handicap Parmo!

Ta fellas. I shot a 77 my best to date and with par 70 & CSS 65 a 56!! 41 points is to my handicap so I am looking at 18 or 19 new hcp, I would love an 18 but it depends on what standard scratch was on the day.

People have been pegged out on the course and left to the wild animals for less than that ;)

That's some scoring.

Hopefully the comp convenor will adjust accordingly.

It's too late for that
How about the guys who played a cracking game for their handicaps and came nowhere near the prizes.
This really annoys me how people can shoot such daft scores and get patted on the back
I'm sorry, but the word "bandit" doesnt apply here

It doesn't help when courses are par 70 and sss 65, so the pars are clearly wrong, which increases said points....the more 'realistic' score is probably more like 43, which is still pretty good going....

Well done chap....

lol so because I have been working hard and my game is improving each week I can not shoot a cracking score once in a while? Its like the same guys who moan about not winning anything yet don't practice and just turn up at tee off time on the weekends expecting to be gifted with 40+ points.

Our course is not hard but its not easy, its 5250 on two loops of 9.

I agree with you Parmo. You've come on here with tales of woe and said you'd be getting advice and working hard at the range and or at least one round that hard work paid off. Get yourself use to the new handicap and start the work again to get cut again.

The course and CSS was the same for the entire field. Clearly no-one played as well as Parmo on the day so rather than knock him and his handicap which he has regularly tried to defend in club comps why not be pleased that a forummer played so well.

How can a realistic score be 43 when 41 is equivalent to playing to your handicap.
49 points is still a bit over the top

In realation to what he scored not playing to your handicap....some (6) of the holes are too short to be the pars they have been allocated I believe....

couldn't agree more Homer. I'm in the same boat at Parmo and got slated for winning with 41 points at the last outing i was at. i had been practicing and scoring well and had one of those days that everying just clicked.

WEll done parmo and enjoy the handicap cut :o)

Ta slugger. I just feel the last 6 weeks everything has come together after a long poor season struggling to play to 23. I have won a lot this last 6 weeks, but as we all know it takes 12-18 months for a handicap to settle, whilst I am doing so I am not going to feel guilty for winning.
