• We'd like to take this opportunity to wish you a Happy Holidays and a very Merry Christmas from all at Golf Monthly. Thank you for sharing your 2025 with us!

40 today!

Happy birthday. I only turned 40 a couple of months ago. It ain't that bad. Eye sight going, hair going, memory going, no really it's not that bad!!

Still got all my own hair, though some of it turning decidedly grey at the edges...rofl Not bad for 44

Sight, stable, but now borderline for needing reading glasses as well as distance glasses, which I've always needed... (rude words)

Joints troubling me. Knees shot.

Memory, not too bad at all.

OH YES IT IS !!!!!

All the best ( enjoy it before you forget how to ) ;)

Happy Birthday.

Just remember, life begins at 40, it's just the golf that starts to get harder! (That's why I'll quit lessons at 40!)

Happy Birthday! Sorry to burst your bubble but my friend who is a current European Seniors Tour Pro informs me that it's actually 54 for a non-pro to become eligible!!!! I was gutted when i found out but reckoned i'd need that extra 4 years practice!!

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Although after todays performance I reckon I might need those extra 4 years too. 7154yds off the back tees with a stiff wind... it wasn't pretty. Strange how every hole is always into the wind ain't it!

I did get a couple of vids of my swing though, I just need to find the leads that connect the camcorder to the PC.

Thanks for the kind sentiments guys... appreciated. :)

I hated my 40th year. My actual birthday was great (HID got a band on at the pub and organised a surprise party) but three weeks later in A&E and an hour from croaking. Spent the rest of 2006 trying to recover my health.
