oops gave up after 5 holes of torment . wind blow me over twice blew the ball off every tee and even blew it off the green. got a blister and just decided enough was enough. teach me to try and play in 70mph winds.

Next time you play in this kind of weather (and you will consider it, we all do) take the video camera, then you can post your experiences on Youtube and give us all a laugh or create a C4 3 minute documentary (the ones they show before/after the news) on extreme golf. :D

I know the feeling.....went out on Sunday and got blown into a ditch on the 5th.....at which point I picked up my bat and ball and walked off, wet through.
That and the fact that the greens were terrible.....

Lightweight! ;)

So desperate for a game last Sunday, we endured horizontal rain and hail showers for most of the round. One of the guys chucked it after 10 as his dog was hating it (was cowering under the trolleys!).

Soft Southerners!!!

Seriously though, playing in windy conditions is about the worst thing you can do for your swing. You end up speeding up in order to hit the ball before losing balance. Ball goes everywhere!

I played nine holes speed golf tonight with me g'f's dad, Tee'd off at 5 and was done for six, played really well too. Was a bit windy but the sun was still shining away at 6 oclock so that was good.

Brave man playing in this weather!

I haven't swung a club in 2 1/2 weeks now, it's terible. I can't wait for the lighter nights or maybe a day off work to have a round. Knowing my luck I'd book a day off and we would have Arctic conditions.

Hey-ho, summer's round the corner.

I went out in a gale on Saturday. Is there is anything more frustrating than hitting a perfect drive only to watch it balloon in the wind and land 160 yards away. Contributed to a horrible score of 106.

Played the Jubilee course yesterday in outrageous winds.

Was laughable that they let us on in some regards. But we managed 18 holes and it was a good laugh. Golf was not so good, but you couldn't take the club back without it getting blown out of line.

So i can sympathise with you timevans! :)
