Is Morikawa struggling? I must have missed that memo. Top 5 in two of the majors last year.

He is struggling with his chipping.
He duffed one and has no distance control.
Has been having lessons in how to use the bounce of his wedges.
You would think a top pro and one of the finest iron players in the game would be ok chipping.
But on last nights evidence apparently not!
72 holes without a bogey then 3 on the trot on back nine yesterday.

Don’t forget these are on a course set up for PGA comps so not your average members course.
So if he played a 5 handicap player he’s giving him a shot a hole.
Would be good to see.

Reading Jon Rahm’s stats, the World Rankings don’t seem to add up, with his finishing in the last few events and only #5 in the world.

Reading Jon Rahm’s stats, the World Rankings don’t seem to add up, with his finishing in the last few events and only #5 in the world.

He has said the same thing but it is down to a change in how they calculate the points. It now favours big fields and his DP World Tour win and win over the weekend were against reduced fields - albeit Hawaii had 17 of the top 20 playing! Seems a bit daft to me.

Yes they usually kick in just as they go through a bit of a slump and people say “ how’s he number 1”

Some layers have really thrown their hats into the ring
