Just to wish everyone here- that's the Mod, Mike and co, and all us punters who post-a very happy ( and hopefully better) New Year than the majority of us seem to have had over the last two(y)
Take care one and all but please look after both yourself and yours:love:
Cheers everyone--and my thanks to all that I've been lucky enough to meet (poor sods) and pm/talk with!!
Some really good folk on here-we're pretty lucky!
(y)

I echo the sentiments already. Hopefully we're get a full golfing year in for 2022 without any lockdowns even if we can't socialise in the 19th. Happy to take car park golf over no golf at all

Completely agree. Have a great new year one and all

Yep … HNY. Hopefully a covid free one at some point.

HJS...........Good to hear from you, but how the hell do you play 'car park golf'?
Is this covered by WHS, drop zones, damaged clubs, windscreens, dents, insurance must cost a bomb, but what the Hell...if it floats your boat then sail on Sinbad;):)

If you remember, we could play golf but weren't allowed to use the bar afterwards so we called it car park golf. Drive into the car park, play, drive home. I have threatened a few cars in golf club car parks over the years.

Happy New Year all... My favourite car park story happened when Colin Montgomerie came for a game at Wimbledon Park a couple of days after winning the 1991 Scandinavian Masters. He made the crucial mistake of parking in the first spot and, 20 minutes later, someone snap hooked one straight through his window

Played Royal Burgess many years ago in a work golfing society comp. 18th there is a long Par 3 with the car park just a slice away. From (ancient) memory, there was a sign in the car park entrance regarding 'park at your own risk'!
