Anyone watch this comedy show.

Looks like a case of life imitating art.

Perhaps the London guys can tell us why the private company in charge of security cannot employ sufficient staff?

Could be to do with fact that G4S were getting paid millions yet they were only offering peanuts for pay... Just over £2 an hour I was lead to believe...

The Chairman of G4S was in front of the 'committee' yesterday... Agreed that his company had messed up but felt they still warranted being paid... Must of been a banker in a fomer life...

Fee BTW was 57million...

concur with above indignation (how long is the wall that all these people need to be up against ??)

re. the OP, have caught the last couple of these. Painfully amusing. Reminded me of meetings everywhere I've worked in the past, with the most incompetent trying to give the impression of indispensibility while achieving nothing...

Rather like "The thick of it", the daily leadership triumphs of both our public and private sector prove beyond fiction's wildest fancies....

Dads Army
Del Boy
Brittas Empire
Alan Partridge
Yes Minister
2012.

All very sucessful because we all know someone who is just like a person in the script.

I swear The Brittas Empire was written about a Sports Centre manager I used to know.

Rather ironically, the former labour MP John Reid, who was part of the panel that awarded the contract to G4S, is now a director in the company. He was also a paid consultant for Group 4 when the contract was awarded. You really couldn't write the script could you?
