I know we all play for the love of it and to get the handicap down or to get our names on the club boards, but it's also nice when you can buy some balls/glove/shoes or whatever from the pro shop without it costing you anything.

For the first time I've kept a record this year just to see how I did over the year, and it's better than I thought it might be.

So I've basically bought £300 worth of vouchers for £200 cash. I still have to keep looking for a new job but it's nice to get something back, especially as it goes back into the club.

Anyone else keep a record or am I the only anorak?

It is good to get anything for nothing. Our medal and stableford prizes (top 3 per division) are all in pro shop vouchers. Unfortunately he rarely has any clothing I like and was one of the reasons I started getting shoes from him

A Grand total of around £15 up on the year.

Don't have enough Midweek comps that I can play to be in the R3 "semi-Pro" category....

Your the only one :D

I know some more closet statto's will out themselves soon :)

Mine was over 44 comps total, so about £2.50 up per comp. Just about pays for the bacon roll and coffee :D

Wouldnt keep a record like that , i know ive got €184 in my shop account tho, dont need anything so mayb have the irons regripped

Only £30 ish left on mine. Most of it got put on my bar card :o

It's in very poor taste to talk about how much money you have won.

In 2011 I played 104 qualifiers and was in the money on 33 occasions.

In addition to those, I probably played another 35/40 rounds of roll-ups, matches, Seniors away days, away 2-days, away weekend, week in Turkey etc..

Think I've won about £130 in total, don't know how much I've paid in entry fees but would guess about £60 to £70 so I'm up about £60 but the exact figures don't bother me. It's a bit like a savings account for the pro shop with a good interest rate if you have a few decent rounds :D

Not sure on the outlay of comp entries, generally only play once a week though, and we only have 2 qualifiers each month.
Winnings were £479 though :)

11 comps so £44 plus £11 for nearest the pin
1 runner up for £24 & 1 nearest pin (shared) for £21

makes me -£10 not bad really.

Hope to do a lot better next year :)

The club has only recently started giving the option of medal or voucher, and that for not a lot, and it was introduced only after my only win of the year.
The society has always done vouchers but these just give you a discount on another meeting.

So no more than £15 - £20, and I don't keep track of entry fees and the like
