Have got to use a 2 for 1 voucher before it expires at the end of the month,i live in the midlands(Derby) and me and my brother in law are prepared to travel for an hour max and pay 20-25 quid each after using the voucher. So has anyone got any recommendations for a really nice course, cheers.

Morley Hayes takes 2 for 1 vouchers. Works out around a tenner each.

Branston is a great course in Burton. They take 2 for 1 vouchers, after the reduction it'll be around £18 - £20 each.

There is always Uttoxeter if you don't mind impersonationg a mountain goat. Can't remember what the fee are.

Why not treat yourself to a Round on the Belfy's PGA course.

Cheers for the help cerrunnos,i already play branston on a regular basis and occasionally play morley,i would play the pga at the belfry but believe that they need a handicap certificate.I currently dont belong to a club after only just moving back to the area so dont hold a club handicap.

Hiya Richard, I really wouldn't worry too much about the handicap certaificate for the Belfry. They want your money, its something in the literature to deter complete begineers from carving up the fairways. Never been asked for a certificate there yet. The PGA is certainly worth a go, especially when the winter rates start again.

There are a few more courses I can recommend over Loughbough way too.Including the excelent Lingdale.

Rich, Treat yourselves to a visit to the Forest Pines Golf Club in Lincolnshire which is a Qhotel. 2-4-1 and is more than impressive. The course is out of this world !!!!
