2 balls one player

2 ball during practice is limit at my course. Still doesn't stop some people I've seen on quiet evening hitting 3 or 4.

I enjoy the worst ball game shame my good shots are worse than Zach's bad one. I used to play with a guy and when he hit a bad shot during a practice round he'd hit 2 or 3 more until he was happy. I don't play with him any more.

From a personal perspective, as long he was holding no-one up then I have no issue. However, many clubs, including ours have a rule that you are only allowed to play 1 ball.

True but most members myself included have flouted. If I am on my own and catching up a group, and no one is following me I'll hit a couple of balls to take my time and not pressurise the group in front

Played this morning in the glorious Sunshine no-one behind me by four holes at least. When it is like this I play 2/3/4 balls and try out different things with grips, clubs, different balls etc.

My drives are usually pretty tight so not too much zig zagging although it does happen!

Is that why you stopped playing with me?!

There used to be that guy who'd jump on at the 5th and just play at least 15 balls

If I was a prospective member of a club and discovered that I couldn't play two balls when on my lonesome one lovely summer's evening - might put me off joining. Severe over-reaction? - maybe - but I tend to practice by playing - and playing two balls when on my own and keeping out of eway of other players has always been a major part of my practicing.

whenever i play on my own with two balls I usually end up losing a few balls as i lose track of where in the rough the first one went and don't have any extra pairs of eyes to help in the search.

that's always a problem when I hit 4 balls - ever convinced I'd hit one properly eventually - especially as the sun goes down and the shadows get deep in the grass

Our club 1 ball only. Mind you have a fair 3 hole practice area in front of the club house use as many balls as you like on it . Only rule no driver on the hole facing the main road

Often when playing two balls I'll play the shot I know is lowest risk for me and that I have the best chance of executing; and then I play the high risk high reward shot and see if I am able to pull it off. One reason for doing this is that if I find myself in a matchplay position on a hole that really demands the high risk shot - I know that either I can play it or I know that I absolutely can't
