1st Hole in one

Got my first on on Sunday in the club Stableford Comp.

downhill 170 yard par 3 with a 7 iron.

Though it would never happen as i've been playing about four years now and everyone i seem to play with has had a few.

When was you 1st HIO?

And i won with a measly 35 points

I have had two on the same hole but only on a pitch and put I used to play as a kid.

Have been close a couple of times. Had my first eagle this year, that felt just as good as I imagine an ace would!

Nice one mate! I've been lucky enough to have two - the first was a 9-iron at our 145 yard 2nd, and the latest (last year) a 7-iron to our 177 yard 18th, which is over water.

Both, I am pleased to say, were well struck shots!

I have only had one hole in one, a 7 iron to the 10th at my home course,2bounces and straight in. Well done on getting one yourself.

I've been playing 24 years and never had one

Closest I came to one was sticking it to 1 inch on one of the par 3's at the Celtic Manor Roman Road course. Walked off the green feeling hard done by with a birdie, go figure

Patrick, I have played nearly 32 yrs on and off, I have hit the flag a few times and come very very close, but these days I seem to be getting further away, not nearer, once I get far enough away to hit the bunker bank and skid it across the green at 100mph, Im sure I will get one hitting the flag and dropping in, I dont think i will get one any other way

I've never had one either in 28 years on and off.
In fact I don't think I've ever holed anything from more than about 20 yards away

Only ever had one in over 20 years of playing. 2nd hole at Tunbridge Wells GC, 8 iron bounced twice and dropped. The first green at that particular club is right next to the 2nd tee and I nearly gave the two old duffers who were on it a heart attack when I whooped with delight!
Luckily it wasn't in a comp and just had to buy the couple of lads who were with me a pint afterwards. Have come close a couple of times since but not repeated it and despite playing in loads of golf days and trips/holidays with mates I have never witnessed another one.
Congratulations on yours....you'll never forget exactly how it happened.

Well done

Had mine 2 years ago at our 14th 140yds slight downhill 9 iron pitch and rolled hit pin and dropped in, was stunned the round was c##p to that point and after, luck for me there was a soictey playing that day, had left when we got back to the club house.

Have you kept the ball, would like to say it was a good ball but mine was a scabby pinnacle
