I'm a member there and it's good to hear you enjoyed it, most of the members prefer to play the Prince Bishops over the Cathedral. There's a couple of daft holes on the Cathedral but I do like the Cathedral it's a totally different type of golf to the other one. It's still a new course and it's...
I was a corporate member at Slaley, I've played Hexham and Tyneside. For me I would join Tyneside or Hexham over Slaley.
I love the courses at Slaley but it's no good at all for winter golf. Some one has already mentioned that it's suffers in winter. Also if you were joining alone the other...
My older jacket recommended tumble dry, my trousers which I've just got say a warm iron, based on that I now wash them and just dry on the radiator I've never had any problems.
I must clean my garage out so I could if I wanted get to my tumble dryer !
Looking at my photos there does seem to be some brutal rough. I was in a bit of a purple patch then and had a really good year golf wise so i might not have been as wild as I am at the minute !!
Greens were lovely they are receptive though.Theres loads of green keepers. They will store your clubs at the course as well if your going to play a few times.
I played first thing a couple of times. I teed off at 7:30 and was back in the hotel having my brekkie at 9:45. I'll figure out how to...
The green keepers have balls for sale as you go round if you run out !!
There's no deep ravines etc but there is water. The rough is relatively short so your ball is visible. The grass is thick though so still not easy to play out of.
The beach is lovely, me and the wife would go round the pool for most of the day then when the sun dropped under the buildings go out onto the beach. I loved it there. The beach is narrow in parts though but to be honest it didn't even register to me when I was there. There's beds etc on the...
Nice one thanks for all the replies, We have already done the Harrogate courses in the last. We were recommended ilkley I think and a course in Bradford I can't remember the name of.
Trying to sort our yearly golf trip out for next year, we normally go Early September. Next year we are looking at Leeds. Can anyone recommend courses in and around Leeds, we would be willing to travel within reason.
Budget wise wouldn't want to break the bank but we aren't tight either. We...
I played at mayakoba when I stayed in cancun, got picked up and returned to hotel, they play the ohl Classic on the pga tour there. Would highly recommend that.
There's quite a few courses around cancun itself though. Mayakoba was about 3/4 of an hour away but worth it.
I sadly lost my Mam two years ago to cancer. When she was fighting her battle she had a blood transfusion. I can't express enough how grateful I am to those that donate. When your faced with the reality of it, the value of a pint of blood is priceless.
The course was called heritage golf club it was linked to the hotel and probably 2 mins drive away. It did have a restored chateau just off the course ( near the 17th green). It may be that it's changed its name but it's definitely called heritage golf club.
It was bone dry when I played it the...
I've just got back from staying at the heritage awali, the course there was brilliant. I thoroughly recommend playing it. Loads of interesting holes and no two holes the same. I played it once at 9:30 and once at 7:30 a few days later the 7:30 round I was first out. It's a really picturesque...
