    Backswing speed.

That's true. However, the issue with golf is that unlike most sports you are creating the motion instead of reacting to it. Even with a freekick you still have momentum going into the shot. That's probably why people who start an earlier age have a better swing/tempo as it isn't a natural move...

    Backswing speed.

Interesting to see the changes in Bryson, his swing now is quicker than just his backswing from a few years back. I think the only problem with going too slow is that it can make you wooden or restrict your turn, but too fast and the awareness of the clubhead becomes an issue. Like people have...

    Backswing speed.

There have been a few studies which suggest a faster backswing will lead to greater potential in clubhead speed. Has anyone actively focused on speeding up their backswing and if so what were your results? For me, I've found that the more deliberate my backswing the straighter and longer the...

    Sports persons taking the knee

Embarrassing is what it is. You should not apologise for the actions of others regardless of your race unless you yourself act or think in such a way. While we are on the subject, we should dismantle the colosseum for all the atrocities the Romans caused.

Where's your opening tee shot going?

Huge loss in distance, very poor contact. Remembered what I did pre-lockdown which was the Justin rose pump drill. Worked for the last two holes  Having looked at the forecast may be a while until I can venture back out on the course. The range isn't appealing to me this year.

    Golf leagues.

But if converted to another course you could be outside the specified range.

    Golf leagues.

Not that I can play, but I'm interested in how competitive course leagues will now go ahead with WHS. It used to be that you'd have a low off 4-9 and high off 10-15. With WHS, one course you could be off 3 and another off 5. How would they manage this range? Or do you think it would be fixed...

    Recommendations on Irons?

Never found anything close to the Titleist CB's, I'd give those a test if I were you.

Booking tee slots to ensure maximum capacity

True, but there's no way to contact them. Where if you just turn up the club won't be too happy as they will only allow those who have a confirmed tee time to be on site. There's another sneaky trick that members do. Where you are supposed to add players names but if you click back to home...

    Courses on common land

Sutton Coldfield is underrated, the only thing that spoils it for me is the bunching of the par 5's on the front 9.

    Non Golf Black friday

Haven't bothered for the last few years. Don't see the need anymore unless my grips need changing or my groves are not providing the desired spin. Our club provides a free service every year on renewal so I have my loft and lie angles checked and all good atm.

Booking tee slots to ensure maximum capacity

It is brutal atm, our club announced you could book from 7 am for the following day. First few days the system crashed. I got on yesterday at 7:05 and the only available tee time was 3:40.

Golf course web cams - who has them?

How are you able to see that much detail? Really poor image on my screen.

    Iron club head speed

Other than that it may just be that you were throwing the club too early. If my ball striking ever goes off I always concentrate on throwing the club as late as possible to the target, this gets me more open and with proper shaft lean at impact. The beauty of this is that even if my address is...

    Bullying at School ...

What powers do the police have? I'm fairly certain that at their age they'll be treated as victims as they are considered incapable of breaking the law.
