Damage is such that it looks like we will be only able to use 16 holes for the best part of next Summer, can we still play Qualifying comps ? is there a formula for adjusting handicaps such as -8 -x 9ths of handicap ?
some have suggested everyone marks scores as par which is great for those of...
anyone ever heard of this - balls on the fairways not found due to muddy conditions or fallen leaves are allowed to drop a ball for free (under rule 16.1) where they expected to find the ball, similar but off the fairway not found are lost balls.
to be fair all comps are temporary non...
unfortunate circumstances put them in this position and as the organiser knew of this it would be safe to advise anyone complaining that they had permission, thanks for reply a big help
would we be breaking any rules if we accepted a Card from pair who had no marker - or should they have completed each other cards as if a singles comp - no doubts about their correctness of recorded scores but know someone is going to claim their scores are unacceptable -

Cards returned, player C sends written complaint that night to Ctee, several weeks passed and no action taken with...

as in this situation mis directed shots are now getting the benefit/advantage of being dropped and played from the middle of the fairway, but as usual

we have an almost full width of fairway under gur, whilst it is possible to drop out at the nearest point in some instances but would be within the trees can a club make a local rule requiring all balls in the gur to be dropped out in the DZ which is in the middles of the fairway ?
A South Manchester Club with a hole alongside the M62 restricts tee shots to irons only and another limits one tee to irons or rescue woods .
first it could cause a big crash bouncing down the m62 and the other has gardens in reach with woods !
put that down to my age - this is a "local rule" for the Members - we have a current temporary Local GUR Rule which has disappeared from Masterscoreboard but the situation is unchanged and thus must still be applicable but how is anyone to know this.
