I'm with others on this. Join a members golf club. It's all very well saying that they are going to put in £x or £y but what if they don't, what if they decide to reduce those amounts significantly? The other part to that is they will be looking for a return on that kind of investment which...

Nothing good comes from stopping. Many of my best rounds have been ruined by stopping. Keep moving on.

The Belfry has traded on the back of hosting Ryder Cup for many years and the problem it has it that, as the memories of those Ryder Cups diminish with time, so the allure of the course fades and it stands and falls on the quality of the course and facilities. Both of which are not as good as...

At a members club, the annual subs should be voted on at the AGM, having looked at the club's accounts and then implemented. To do it the other way round would deprive the membership the chance to vote on the subs or to do so almost a year previously without knowledge of the financial position...

I think people are generally sceptical of the claims of golf gear manufacturers and becoming ever more so. Manufacturers have become very adept at marketing their products by making claims that infer improved scoring and it is understandable that the consumer is ever warier of such claims...
