    Weekend Frustration & Anger Thread

Well no frustration or anger for me really. That only happens if you are bothered about it. Just got back from being away at work for six weeks and looking forward to playing in the Roll-up Stableford today. Sat around for ages after the draw, interminable, at least dentist's waiting rooms have...

    Golf Pyschology

Here is something for you to ponder and comment on. Played a few holes today with one of our assistant pros, really nice guy and pleasant company. Weather was OK and I was really looking forward to playing having been away at work for the best part of the last 8 weeks. Since I got home 10...

    putting mats

If you are going to get one get a good one. The cheap ones do not give a true roll and are a bit of a waste of time IMHO. We have a 9'Huxley mat at home and it is really good. You do however need a good bit of room and they are not cheap. wwww.huxleygolf.co.uk

    4BBB 50pts obscene?

Higher level of control of handicaps and compulsion to submit cards to retain a valid h'cap as we should hopefully get with the new rules coming up.

    4BBB 50pts obscene?

In the conditions you mention at Dartmouth I would agree that 50 points is well in to bandit territory. That sort of score is do able in benign conditions however. Many years ago played in a 4BBB Stableford at Parkstone and we won it with 53 points. Weather was hot and dry and all par 5s were...

    Golf , how frustrating.

Bummer but that is the game. Keep focused on what you are doing well. I had a crap one at the weekend in a 4BBB but still played plenty good shots. Just a pity about the 7 or 8 crap ones that killed me. Probably bit golfed out TBH so had a couple days off now and back to it today.

    Your Home Club's "Greens"?

Well as a member of our Greens Committee I have to say that our greens are really not what they should be and have not been for several years. I would in no way blame our Greenkeeper for this who does a great job within the limits that are set for him. Our main problem is our General Committee...

Talk about a game of two halves.........

Know the feeling, I had one of those today, 20 points out, 11 in. Society golf not too sure of it TBH. Only thing I can put it down to was a loss of concentration. Round was far too long, over 4 1/2 hrs and with all the yack about the various team scoring and this counts here and that counts...
