You're down at the driving range....

i dont know if any of you watched a program called monster garage but they made a ball collector that fired the balls back at the people on the range. i bet the guy on the tractor dose not care its happened that many times anyway

HAHA I watched that one it was a great episode and a great vehicle they built for the task in hand. Hilarious watching the golfer run for cover too!
Our guy doesn't have a tractor and does the ball collection with a tube collector, he also does it wearing headphones so you can't even call fore so we have to wait anything up to an HOUR!!!!

I used to collect balls in the buggy out our range and I can tell you, the noise it makes when you dont see it coming is scary!! These days I would ignore he was there but when I was a kid we'd have a go at hitting it. I wouldn't expect many adults to try and hit it. You never know what could happen, what if there was the tinyest gap and it went through and hit him???

Very childish action IMO.

During a staffing shortage my old HGK went out on the ball collector one afternoon.
One particular dork was annoying him so he drove the buggy right up to the front of his bay and with a few bad words invited him to see if he could hit it now. He received a good round of applause from the other golfers.

If it takes a 5 iron or longer, he is fair game. If he is 50 yards away I wouldn't punch a low drive at him, but hitting him when he is at the back of the range with an almighty drive is fair enough. Would I purposely aim at him? No. But I don't pay any attention to where he is, so if he drives into the line of my ball, tough. If they don't want him hit, they should shut the range for ten minutes or have enough balls to last all day and he goes out at closing time.

I myself drive the buggy around and most of the people at our range ignore me. Sometimes for a laugh people do aim at you, but if they continually do so we ask them to stop or leave.
