your other sports/ hobbie's/ interests, what are they?

mine are fishing (coarse/carp) and pc gaming (battlefield 3, Footy manager and fave at the mo saints row the 3rd). Also do a bit of pc building/troubleshooting for friends and family although they think I am a 24/7 helpdesk at times.

Only took golf up as no longer play football & cricket and felt like something was missing in my life for the last few years

I enjoy a cycle, mainly a commuting cyclist as it saves a fortune and stops me becoming even fatter. I do however have the occasional cycling epic.

Hope to cycle round the Isle of Arran in the next few weeks.

Scuba diving, specifically some of the deeper 30-50m stuff on open circuit, although I haven't done any over the last 12 months due to family and work commitments. I also love going to the gym and sweating out a bit of frustration... Im doing some surfing this summer which should be fun, and I think i'm going to buy myself a decent Mountain bike before summer hits. Basically, i'm trying my best to avoid watching TV all the time, and i'm desperately battling the "belly's gonna get ya" middle aged spread...

quite a spread of other interests in just a few posts!

i have played american footy for the last 6yr's but giving it up as to find something new, and just as thrilling, so ive plumped for BJJ/MMA training more so to lose weight currently 15st, get a good work out and a release output, cant do the gym i hate it also play for a darts team!

Triathlons and marathons were my hobby after i finished football, but knee and achilles injury seem to have finished them off too :-(, I keep thinking i can do one more ironman but body says no. consequently I am now a couple of stone heavier than last one in 2009. Just returning to golf after 8 years away - Golf is cheaper than triathlon and as my driver is illegal its a good excuse to buy some new clubs :-)

Photography (haven't got the time to do it justice now)
Squash (stopped playing competitively now as young whippersnappers don't break sweat)
Tennis (also stopped as I'm not very good)
Pc FPS gaming, BF3 is quite outstanding
Movies, just love a great movie
Football, watching now only
Car detailing (no time)

I think I see a pattern:rofl:

Photography.
Used to have a wet darkroom but lost it when we moved house.
Digital doesn't really interest me the same, but I still enjoy looking at good work / exhibitions.

I help run one of the largest (and best) football clubs in the area

I love to play the keyboard ( Yamaha Tyros 3)

Photograpy, as and when I have time

Just got into pencil portrait drawing

Must retire and find time to do them all better than I currently do

Chris

Rugby Union both playing and watching. Cricket although Golf takes the time I used to have for this. Still practice to keep fit.Real ale. Living in Yorkshire means I have about 70 local breweries to sample. Not a lager fan at all but love my real ales, especially Malty ones.

Mine is Aikido. Been practicing for 20 years this year, spent over 2.5 years in Japan training, I have 3 clubs in my town and have in the last year set up an independant UK association linked directly to my teacher in Japan.

Hmmmm. That got me thinking.

Don't do computer games (I get bored easily)
Don't watch many movies (Conflicting tastes with HID)
Don't play any other sports (No time with young un')

Same as Darth. I see a pattern formig here

Running, Signed up to do the next 2 Great North Runs. Done about six half marathons now, including GNR & Glasgow and a few 10ks.

Love football too, Follow Newcastle Utd & Spurs and been a fair few places round the world watching mainly England (for my sins) with my old man as he's a Londoner.

Cycling. Used to run, got injured too much. Turned to tri, got injured too much. Took up golf and now obsessive about that but try and cycle every morning and do occasionally swim. Each year I think about a bit more running but find it hard to accept how slow I now am !

Played footy in Liverpool sunday leagues for 15 years.
Also have played tennis, Squash, Badminton, table tennis etc over the years but just with mates etc.
Liverpool season ticket holder for 25 years and have been to about 80 British grounds, 30+ european grounds following them, only Bayern Munich to go out of the "cathedrals of European football".
I love reading especially Jeffrey Deaver, Fredddy Forsyth, Martin Reilly, Robert Ludlum (years ago) and factual history books.Just about to start Vanished kingdoms by Norman Davies, which looks like a really interesting book.
Real ale nowadays, 60/70/80's music even though I was 18 in 1988 (hate rave/dance music).
European city breaks and walking/golf holiday cottages in the UK.

I am friendly, have a good sense of humour and prefer tall blondes....... sorry went off at a tangent there. Hope the mrs isn't watching.
