I am sure this has been floated before on the forum, but I have not seen it so here is a question for you to ponder.

You can play one last round before you die. What course would you play, who would you play with and why?

My vote is as follows:

Course: Prestwick.

As a lover of golf history and Links golf - playing the course that held the inaugral British OPEN in 1860, which has 3 greens and 6 holes still to this day as they were then; which has been played by "everyone" who has been "anyone" in golf including James Braid, Old and Young Tom Morris, Alister Macenzie, Arnie, Jack, Nick, Seve, Tiger etc etc does not get any better!

My 4 x ball

My son and my great friends Guy and John. 3 x people who have probably had the most influence on my personal life.

Well that's my thoughts- what are yours?

Course: Carnoustie.

Fabulous course, superb condition, greens to die for, and always presented beautifully. A calm summers evening spent on these links would be my idea of heaven.

Partners? 3 mates who go back a long, long time and with whom I've had more laughs on the golf course than anyone else. Stand up Norman, Ray & Bob. Most of my enjoyment of the game is down to the company of these three and the memories we share. We've had our rucks on the course, especially when we cut Ray two shots after the morning round at Scotscraig one year. But even so, I couldn't wish for three better mates to play my last ever round of golf with.

Any course, as long as it was boiling hot in the sunshine, no breeze, no excuse for long sleeves or warm clothing with Anna Rawson, Natalie Gulbis and Sophie Sandolo.

Or, St. Andrews with Seve, Faldo and Gary Player

I can't admit that I know about many courses, but I've walked round Wentworth twice and I'd certainly love to play there one day. It would be a warm day with sun and intermittent clouds, and a gentle breeze assiting me down the 17th and 18th.

As for who I'd want to play with, I have to say I'm not sure I have that much of a desire to play with any of the current Pros. Except Monty perhaps, because he always looks like he's having a good time at friendly events. Anna Rawson of course, because she always looks....good. And Simon Pegg, the comedy actor, because I think he looks like a whole load of fun.

As a fantasy Augusta just to see if its as magical as everyone says. In reality I'd go for Bearwood Lakes, Carnoustie or Turnbery

Ideally I'd have my dad (too late in reality) Lee Westwood and Seve. A more realistic line up (although highly) unlikely would be a challenge between the still unbeaten HTL and Homer (double H combo) against a Di Stewart/Richard Boxall GM team (Boxy makes me laugh with his dry humour).

Alternatively Double H offer out Howell and and other contributing GM pro (£100 per man to charity - can you make it happen GM?)
