Your Golf Travel - False Advertising

Not sure if anyone else had signed up for this, but Your Golf Travel had been advertising a £18 golf break as a 4-ball frenzy for an unnamed date in November. This went live today now saying only 1 in 4 can go for £18, everyone else has to pay full price. Completely false advertising.

I saw the promotion and signed up to see if the deal was good. Then the email came today and I saw it was 1 in 4 gets the £18 price. Deleted the email and unsubscribed from the mailing list due to the false offer that it implied.

Seems people forget pretty quickly. After all the problems that people had with various golf travel companies during covid, I am surprised that people have now gone back to them.

No. The signup page is still there https://www.yourgolftravel.com/4-ball-frenzy. Even the email to say the deal is live says 'Click here for an £18 trip'. No mention of 1 in 4 until you open the link.

That’s a bit smelly! I’m sure from a legal standpoint they will have covered themselves, but ethically it doesn’t look good

I thought exactly the same when I opened the email. Deleted straight away, bunch of wrong'uns.

It’s almost as if they tempted you to open the offer….

Job done well.

Still, one person does get the deal so it’s technically correct.
