Your favourite golf hole?

Over the years, I must have played that hole about a dozen times or more. I've only ever scored once on it. And that was 1 point during our 2nd round in September. I hate that poxy hole

Just walk straight to the 13th tee from the 11th green Smiffy and save yourself all the aggro. Do you need any more advice on course strategy before Wednesday ?

Played it once, easy two!

8 iron into right hand bunker. Sand iron into the hole for an unlikely 2! Troon back 9 is the toughest golf I've ever played. You can tell me Carnoustie is tougher if you like but Troon's back 9 into the wind is brutal!

Jammy bugger!!
And I agree that Troon's back 9 is hellish into the wind and even worse if its raining as well!!

Seriously. That is one of the hardest holes I have ever played in my life. Especially if the wind is against. Stood on the tee you have trees (big 'uns) all down the left hand side. Just before the trees there is a steep bank that also goes the whole length of the hole. That's tough enough. But then all the way down the right hand side (and I do mean ALL the way down the right hand side) you have a water hazard which then cuts across in front of the green about 50 yards short. Into the wind, your Sunday best drive will still see you having to hit something nobbly headed to get anywhere close enough to have a pop at the green. And it has to be straight as an arrow or you are up on the bank or in the stream. Assuming you can reach the green you still have to clear the water. But if you've caught your 2nd shot even slightly heavy (or thin) you will still be hitting something with a big round head on it into the dance floor. As I say, I absolutely hate that hole. There are a lot of holes around St Mellion to hate for one reason or another. But that hole is my most hated (read dreaded).
