Your ball of choice?

When I first took up golf, like most people, a golf ball was just a golf ball... that changed as I got to play it more. Recently I've tried to either play Titleist ProV1 or Nike PD Long. Last week, I got 12 Srixon Z Star on ebay (mostly ex condition lake balls)for £10, so going to give them a go next week.

So what is our ball of choice???

There must be nearly as many threads on balls as grips

tried a few this year like Callaways iS, 2009 prov1's, srixon etc but the ball I've settled on based on swing stats and trackman is the Prov1-X, less driver spin but still great feel round the greens

I have gone for a bit of a change. I am a devoted fan of Wilson Staff balls (DX2, DX3 and FG Tour) but bought a dozen Srixon Tri-Speed this week as they get solid reviews. I will post some comments when I have given them a few rounds.

Currently a ProV1x'er but the other day I used a NXT TOur and it behaved itself completely.....

i use mid range balls, srixon ad333's are my faves at the min closely followed by nikes PD soft and then srixon soft feels, i have some srixon trispeeds in the post, excited to see how they match up with the others i have mentioned

Any of the above list, not a fan of the Penta, find it hard and gives a dull feedback, I also thought the old TP red was a far far better ball than the Penta. As I posted earlier this week, their is a new Penta on the way, think its called Penta Tour which is meant to be softer, fingers crossed its a better option.

I've always thought it wierd how some can find a ball hard and some find it soft with loads of feel - I found a couple of thses a month or 2 back and used them for a while. Thought they were really good off the face.
Just shows we're all individual...

Generally Prov1's but have been using a Bridgestone B330 RX this week, stops grand and feels ok off the putter.

I'm with you. Not a huge fan of the Penta for the same reasons but preferred the TP black. I've been using the Burner TP which as far as mid-priced balls go are ok and done a job in the wetter conditions over the last few weeks

I really like the Callaway Diablo and if I were you I do what I did and buy fromPremierlakeballs off ebay which work out to about 61p per ball.

Stick with the Wilson Staff theme and go with these
