That shot was straight out of my bag. He done it last year didn't he when he changed to nike hit hooked that 3 wood then left the course. Nice to see him though walk of laughing about it. Still went further than one of my drives

Tis worth watching the final day's highlights on the European Tour website to see an outrageous putt from Justin Rose, where he is facing 90 degrees in the opposite direction from the hole and Rory's drive on 18 which is heading for the stream, clatters into a rock in the stream and lands on the opposite section of the fairway!

The Irish Open nearly died a couple of years ago when they lost their sponsor.
Rory stepping in and offering a raffled place to play with him in the ProAm - open to everyone who bought a ticket- may well have saved the event. Ticket sales went ballistic!
