so all this talk of putters has had me itching to get out and find the right one for me.

Spent some time down at AG and was rattling them in with a Yes Callie - tried Tracy too but she doesn't like me, she's always (going) right.

So - given that the current beast is performing, but I have no confidence with it (strange feeling when you're sinking them) - shall I get to know Callie a little better now?

I'm going to say one thing and make it clear, even if I sound like a clever Richard.

Don't waste your time and money on an off the shelf putter with a long shaft and unplayable lie. If you want a yes! putter, go and find a reputable putter fitter (mine actually did the training with Harold Swash) and get either a C/F new one or have them sort out your existing.

I've had AT LEAST 10 putters over the 8 years (total) I've been playing. That probably near a £500 in putters. They might feel right in the shop/on the green etc. but they always lose their sparkle eventually.

If you don't trust a local pro, phone yes! or visit them in person. Best money I ever spent.....

I caddied for a yankie at Dundonald and he had a Talyor Made Rosa Daytona and I loved the feel weight etc. I bought one for £50 at AG, about 3 years ago and havent looked back. I may change some day but for now I happy. Bought it off the shelf and it gets it in the hole every noa and again.

I do plan to get a new set of stick in 2 years all custom fit..... I cant wait.....

Hey bobmac, I was custom fit for a 32" Olivia at the Southport Centre, with Phil Kenyon, it was a great session and he gave lots of really helpful putting tips. The facilities were excellent, and the putting aids were especially insightful.

I can't recommend the Yes! Centre highly enough, it was a great day out, and I walked away with a putter I really get along with.

So...I see there is a fitting centre in Exeter where I spend my working week (at the range I occasionly visit after work - I know they do haircuts - didn't know they custom fit) Anyone have any experience of Clifton Hill?

Is that kettle still on?
