Evening all. Just been to collect my putter that I bought off the bay. Got it home and it looks like the head has been superglued back onto the shaft. Its not sitting straight either.

Ive contacted the seller and am waiting for reply.

Question is.. How much roughly would it cost for pro to make it good again?

any ideas would be welcomed.

Thanks

Chris

Chris,

I would just get your money back or at least get it checked out by a professional stockist.

I believe Yes putters and TaylorMade clubs are the most copied and mass produced fake clubs on the market!

I was a little bit wary of its authenticity as well as the bottom of the putter doesnt look like other ones ive seen. It only has "Callie" and then a pat number under that.

edit- just seen a few others and they are the same so I cant really comment on the authenticity. it does look ok apart from the shaft.

I wouldn't even bother with the 'let the Pro fix it' approach. Sounds like you have been sold a pup, or worse a fake. You need to send it back, ask for your money back immediately, and when you have your money back report the sod to ebay. The only purchases I make from ebay now are from either golf pro's or retailers such as American Golf.

You said you collected it, cant you return at a later date with something heavier than a dodgy putter and seek ur dosh back?

Andy

Go the following website: www.golfbidder.co.uk, and then at the bottom right hand corner of the home page you will see a heading called 'Counterfeit Alerts'. Click on this, and then scroll down a bit and click on 'Counterfeit Putters'. Right at the bottom of this page you will see some info on dodgy Yes putters. You might find it interesting. Look at the innermost curve, as suggested and compare it to yours. Hmmm. In fact the rest of the counterfeit section is interesting. This is where I discovered that I had purchased a phoney Callaway driver.

Was just about to post the link up myself mate. Think ive been had. The shaft has steps on it and the curve is also much thicker on mine than it should be on the original. Gutted.

Has it got a stepped shaft?
As the golfbidder site says specifically about callie's that they are made with stepless shaft, and that the fakes are not made with a stepless shaft.

Take it to your pro and get his opinion on the club, if it's fake report the seller and get your money back, if not let him repair it. E-bay is getting worse all the time for fake gear, you really have to be carefull.
