Yellowball

I thought it was a bit low for a winning score (unless conditions were bad)

We had 7 of us go out yesterday in our roll up, the course is up on the yellow tees so we play 3/4 h'cap stableford.

35 points came stone cold last. The 2 pros both scored 3 under par for 38 points. Modesty would prevent me from saying who won on 41 points, but our average in that 7ball was 37.2.

You need to change the lads you play with Smiffy, they are obviously dragging you down!! :D

Bloody hell, 36 points round our track and your in with a good chance of winning something. Even our very best golfers have trouble.

I'm with Smiffy on this one I think 171 is hell of a score.
When we played our Yellow peril earlier in the year the yellow ball never saw the 7th green as it splashed into the winding stream to the right. I was so glad it wasn't me.

I have asked this question before (again it was late in the thread) how often do you think you should play to your handicap. I'm a bit below 1 in 6 (15%) this year.

I played 16 qualifying rounds this year.

2 cuts, 9 0.1's and 5 buffers.

And I should be improving since I only started playing again last year

Homer

I play at the Kent & Surrey Golf Club in Edenbridge.

I have checked some winning scores since May and there are the results. Par 71.
The 69/70 score was the club championship.

Stokeplay:- 69 71 69/70 69 70 68 67 72

Stableford:- 37 38 37 35 36

Its not a brute of a course, but there are so many hazards, you have to tip toe your way around. Of course you have to know that we are not a big club with only about 30 to 40 people taking part in these competitions, but you get the idea, very few people come there and burn it up.

Some of the members who have been there for some time say that its probsbly a two shot difference to many courses. The way i play it fills more like ten :) :)
