Yellow ProV1's

Does anyone know why Titleist don't make these?

Cant imagine they would be much more (if at all) expensive to produce.

every now and then when it's dull, I like teeing up in a medal with a yellow ball, and use the DT solo.

just wondering why the *no1* ball in golf doesn't come in yellow!!!!

just new to this thread, but Golf balls should only be white unless your on a concrete crazy golf course.

Slightly away from the OP's question but why are balls predominantly white with a few yellows and oranges available. Why not red or blue or purple or whatever? Would no-one buy them? Or would it be a colourful addition to the game that encouraged a more youthful, modern, fun outlook on the game and maybe could tempt more kids to play?

Saw 2 guys arguing at the weekend over who's White Titleist Pro V1 Number 2 with 2 Black dots was who's when they landed within feet of other....

There's a very good reason why Titleist don't make yellow ProV1s...

!!! BECAUSE GOLF BALLS SHOULD BE WHITE AND ONLY WHITE !!!

:sbox:

Absolutely. Yellow balls, or any other colour for that matter, are just a gimmick. No increase in performance, no discernible increase in visibility (IMO).

If a different coloured ball is all it takes to attract someone to the game, in the curious expectation that it would somehow make the game more 'fun', then I'd say they don't understand the game at all - golf is not meant to be fun

Guess I, and many people I know should stop playing then

I'm curious, why should golf balls only be white?

Because it's on my personal list of things that should just be so...

1) Golf balls should be white
2) Ball retrievers should be banned
3) Pre-shot routines should be, well, I dunno, I just don't like them.
4) No man should get more than 1 shot per hole

We don't need to discuss any of these except for number 1 in this thread :D

Then said two guys should have identified their balls to each other on the first tee and ensured they were different. Presumably, since neither could positively identify his ball, they took the appropriate action under the lost ball rule?

:D A reasonable answer. I'd agree with 3 of the above, ball colour wouldn't bother me.

Overly keen practitioners of a prolonged number 3 should be horse whipped off the course and publicly flogged at the nearest town square........not that PSRs bother me.

The day that Titleist release a yellow Pro V1 will be the same day that they release a white driver with multi-coloured alignment aids. :p

There probably is a market for them (very small) but I cannot see Titleist making them.

Ain't nothing wrong with yellow balls at all. :D

They do show up better in dull or wet conditions. :). Easier to find amongst the billions of lost white balls....you know from yards away it's yours...don't get the "no, that's not mine...no that's not mine either...what you playing....<repeat>" :p

I like the Srixon Z stars in yellow but there is no way there will be a Pro V in yellow anytime soon. I do think Hawkeye has "issues" but having seen him close up recently you can rest assured he is swinging well in that straitjacket

They didn't tee off together. One was playing down the 8th and the other up the 13th that runs parallel. Both were in the semi rough between the fairways. I have no idea what they did but I had a laugh watching them while waiting!
