Sorry just had to tell everyone. Got an R9 driver a while back and had not used it until today. Only took it down to the local playing fields, to have a practice. Not sure what to expect as it had a stiff shaft in. I had used a reg shaft before and use to spray it all over the place. So anyway teed up the first one. Smooth 3/4 swing and wow right down the middle. Hit 6 more all down the middle and so close together you could have thrown a blanket over them. Not hit as far as some of you lads. They went 230-240yrds, long for me, off a 3/4 smooth swing to. So that will do for me. Did not hit anymore as I wanted to go home on a high. Roll on the next game.

Sorry for blowing my own trumpet. But I am so pleased and happy with the new driver. I just had to tell everyone.

Thanks for reading this far.

On the plus side its great that you hit it so well and the dispersion was so good. On the downside there is a world of difference between a playing field and the course but at least you can stand on the first with positive thoughts which is half the battle. Enjoy the new weapon.

Thats true Homer. But as you say I will feel good on the first tee (maybe not on the next thoughLOL). Rather than wondering where its going to end up.

I hope it goes well for you on the course. I'm sure it will do as long as you don't try to hit it too hard.

A lot is made of drivers being hard to hit but I don't think they are just because of the size of the head.
The first at mine 'should' be 3 iron or fairway wood to leave a fuller shot in, but with it being the first shot of the day I normally use driver because it's so hard to have a complete miss-hit.
