You've just finished your round and your putting your clubs back in your locker/car when a frind of yours (off 10) comes up to you and asks to borrow your clubs. He's left his/hers at home and has to tee off soon.
Would you?

As someone else said it depend on the person. I got a mate off 28i would lend them to yet I got a other mate off 14 who I wouldnt let have them.
To me it's about do I trust them not what they play too. And can they afford to my policy which applies to things I lend you break it you buy it :)

Yes I would.

I did this Monday night. A team player, and close friend, driver cracked at the bottom of the face.

He only borrowed the driver mind you, but if he wanted to borrow my clubs I wouldn't have an issue.

It would depend less on their ability as a golfer and more on how I viewed their character and behaviour.

Would they treat it all with respect and how would they react if it got damaged?

I've known scratch golfers who treat their gear like crap. and 28-cappers who treat their club like the crown jewels.

In most cases, I'd say yes.

I would and have.

Mate got his nicked while on hols and was without a set for a few weeks on his return. We split my set and played with half sets each until his new ones came through.

I would but only to people who I know would do the right thing if they broke or damaged one.

Probably would fret about them until they came back like a mother leaving her child with a babysitter for the first time.

I prob would.

i did lend my spare set of mp32 to a mate a few months ago.

he wanted to go back to a blade and could not make up his mind.

No issue but then he's a 4 handicap.
