I've never heard of any group not being allowed in Muirfield's clubhouse if they've booked to play. Been there many times and felt extremely welcome... once you've got past the guy on the door. Maybe it's happened, but not aware of it.

I've never felt unwelcome at any place I've visited... maybe that's because I know how to behave in polite company (not difficult) and I don't go anywhere with a chip on my shoulder. 🤭
When I played Muirfield (played with a group of members from another club in Scotland) we paid £80 10 years ago about 5pm tee off.
I got into the toilet and there was an attendant scurrying round. Asked if I could have a look round and was ushered out the building.
Friendly reception my ****. 🤣

We warned you about the football colours/hats indoors😉

Was it "Twilight Rate Discrimination?" 😁😁

I have two big callouses on my left hand from golf as it is, God knows what that hand would look like without a glove. 😂

Let's be honest, we all wear a glove just because pros and everyone else wore one when we started playing, and if we suddenly stopped now it would feel weird for a while.
Further to this. This morning thought I’d give the no glove a go all Round, and I hit the ball bloody lovely and though it was only one round so a small data set the feel swinging was so much more free as I felt like I could really loosen my grip compared to playing with a glove.

I’m definitely going to give it a go in Sundays comp and see how we go.
