Would you ever go graphite?

Speak to a PGA pro :blah: :blah:

When did he say he wanted them or should he even

Wind your neck in. I didn't mention him buying them but a good PGA pro will give decent advice on what would work best, may even allow him to hit some anyway, and be more informative on the options available including cost. Always best to have the full facts available

Play graphites since getting fitted 3 years ago. Did not want graphites but spent 3 hrs trying all manner of clubs and shafts and best results and the best feel was graphite shafts so took the plunge, knowing full well I would get a few comments in the negative as if I'm honest I shared most peoples pre conceptions about them.
Now I just enjoy playing comps and beating the very same players who have a quiet smirk when they first see the graphites.
As always, play the clubs that give you the best chance of playing well, not those that you think add an inch to your todger:whoo:

been reading this with interest, as I said in and earlier post I have been using R7 Graphite shafted irons, does the comments on them being easier on your joints etc mean, in your opinions that if I get a fitting for some new iron in the future, that whilst on the day steel shafted my show to be the best for my swing, but longer term, because I am used to graphite, they might give me issues?

Just asking?

I've used graphite in a set of MX20's and liked the ease of the swing, but the dispersion was a little weak; I've used very lightweight steel in some Srixon i506's and they felt better, but I now get on much better with heavier steel shafts. No loss of distance and much better dispersion and consistency.
