Yep. I would go with this. It is real world stuff that is important. No one achieves the 0 to 60 speeds in their car because to do this requires thrashing the bejaysus out of it, which we don't do.. But we all accelerate from 40 to 80.

Which torque still plays the major factor in. Higher torque equals faster acceleration through any point of the rev range.

Having a quick take off is equally pleasing though. I don't live somewhere with lots of traffic lights or endless traffic jams. I have roads aplenty around me where I can enjoy what my engine and gearbox have to offer.
Gearbox dynamics have come on loads so "thrashing it" does less damage as the conditions are managed more tightly.

Exactly .. my commute is various times a406 east London to north London



45 mins to an hour



So I’ll leave tomorrow 05:30



Heated seats lovely thanks.. keep me warm for first 10 mins



Automatic , brilliant all those lights save the up and down the gears



Speed limiter .. don’t want any tickets on the 11 cameras between here and work!



Economical , save my wallet a tad



Reversing camera , make parking at work no issue



I look at all of these before I get a hard on about how fast it can go to 60mph.. which on my route I don’t have a single 60mph limit lol
