Worth trying for a refund?

I have to say I find this a very unnecessary and argumentative response and it coming from a moderator, well, you do yourself no favours IMO

Take it how you will guys but Ethan is right. Sky are liable for sending you the signal and supplying you the card to decode. The equioment in between is the responsibility of Sky for 12 months if they installed it or for longer if you extend the warranty.
Sky are under no obligation to credit for loss of viewing outside of these corcumstances. Read the contract T&Cs.

I make this statement based on nothing more than having worked for Sky for 15 years and spending 9 years (4 as management) in Customer Services.

also being communal you may have an expensive splitter system in the loft, i have experiance of this going during a big football game, me and my three neighbours all went outside to check the dish at the same time, lol

I see the Mod who is meant to know better has lost his tongue!

I must have missed the thread on here where it states a moderator is not allowed an opinion

If that post was made by any other member who wasn't a moderator, I doubt you would all be jumping on the band wagon with your pitchforks and torches.

Thanks for addressing and clearing the issue Greg

it wont be the dish per se, it could be the lnb but as it s a block of flats its probably the splitter system or cable feed to your flat. have you tried removing the front plate where the cables plug into and checking the termination behind it for the 2nd feed. I always elimiate these sort of things 1st before phoning the likes of sky, I am out of my 12 month and any repairs/faulty boxes etc are down to me to replace/foot the bill for.

hope you get it sorted
