Played in a Rabbits friendly tonight. due to a cock up, I palyed with a 21 handicapper against a 16 and a 15 handicapper ( they were short so he made up the numbers). We played 4BBB match play off the stick ends......and we won 2&1 !!!!.
My partner played well and solidly but I played out of my skin. When one of us had a bad hole the other one took up the slack. I hit 2 measured drives of over 300 yards,
and only missed 3 fairways. If I missed the green I tended to miss it short but straight allowing me to roll the ball onto the green with a 5 iron instead of using my nemesis wedge over a bunker.
The guys we played against were great company and made the evening a great pleasure. The bandit word was used very good naturedly.
It made me smile when our captain came over and asked" Who drove over the bloody hill on the 4th ? " That was me !
