Oh and since there seems to be a few of us that live local we should sort a game out sometime if anyone else fancies it?

Long time no speak mate

How's the golf treating you?

I did my knee again playing footy so been sidelined, but hoping to get back out in the next week or 2. Is Hallgarth playing OK?

Hi mate, hope you're ok soon, my golf is terrible at the moment, no improvement but I've stopped beating myself up over it. I'm just enjoying the fact that I'm out playing rather than the golf itself. I'm never going to go lower than a 28 handicap that's for sure. I've had other commitments and am getting into a bit of cycling so haven't got as much time for golf now. I still get out maybe twice a month but the weather hasn't helped

The Hallgarth is OK, can't grumble for the price, we'll have to catch up soon.

I went for a ride around Woodham golf course today on my bike out of curiosity and surprisingly the course is looking in very good nick, you could actually play it no problems with the grass not growing at this time of year. Only a few dog walkers out and a couple of large deer wanting a chase. No staff or security around, would it be wrong to take a couple of clubs and balls and go for a "stroll" round?

It's a bit of a joke to be honest we went to the first one, it was from 2pm but we found out that it had been open from 11am for members, we stayed 2 minutes and walked out, there was hardly anything left and what was left wasn't marked down much anyway

Hopefully mate, I played 9 yesterday for the first time in a couple of weeks and was still pathetic, I've had a lot going on and golf has dropped down my priority list a bit. The good thing is I'm putting no pressure on myself by not scoring.

A recent family meet up has left me wishing I lived closer to my uncle who is actually one of the best coaches in the country believe it or not, pity our paths never cross I could do with some more lessons to get back to basics.
