Woodhall Spa

The hotchkin is the nicest course I have ever played. So yes, definitely.

Can't comment on the hotel or practice facilities though.

*awaits Aztec* :D

Alright? :D

Hello mate, I'm from the area (though currently living darn sarf)...Will drop you a PM regarding accommodation. I will say to anyone looking to go and play at Woodhall - Stay anywhere but the Golf Hotel. It's awful.

They have a VERY nice driving range with putting green and chipping area which is tucked away in the woods and the course is everything it's cracked up to be.

About half an hour late, your slacking :D

Im sure you can recommend a good hotel to the OP ;)

Yes, I have a very nice one I can recommend :D, but I can also recommend other places depending on budget.

Oh, and apologies for my slacking. I was out at the Harvester having lunch :D

Cracking place, range a 10 minute walk, so leave youself enough time.
also thought the 2nd course, bracken was pretty good, totally different to the outstanding hotckin but well worth playing.
stayed in the hotel 1/2 mile up road on opposite side, which was ok

10 minute walk from where? The next village? :D

And yes, the Bracken is a great course itself. A completely different challenge to the Hotchkin.

Here's a few taken last year

I loved playing there and enjoyed both courses although the Hotchkin is definitely a must play. Watch out for the deeeeeeeeeep bunkers. I thought it was a pretty fair test. Tight in places so driving was a premium and excellent greens (but mighty quick). If I was in a position to do so I'd get up there for game as soon as I could

Ok thanks guys, I think im going to go and book it soon!!!!!

Shame you missed out on our week-end trip on April 16/17th. £134.00 all in for two rounds, overnight accommodation including meals. Bargain.
But no doubt I'll be organising it for next year as well
;) ;) ;)

The Hotchkin is a wonderful course - every bit as good as it is cracked up to be.

The practice facilities are superb as you might expect from the home of the EGU.

If you go, you'll love it.

Are the tighter holes short enough to hit an iron off the tee and still have a reasonable shot at the green?
A wood hasn't been invented that I can thread the eye of a 40yd wide needle with.

Do you know what tees we'll be off Mr. Smiff?
