wireless printer help please

Hi all you pc nuts out there. A bit of help please. I have a Canon wi-fi printer that at the moment simply refuses to print anything. I am running win 7 64 bit, and the printer shows up as ready to print in the devices page of windows until I try to print then it displays the message "printer not responding" and nothing happens. I have made sure it is correctly logged on to the wireless network, it all looks fine until it comes to press print then as said earlier it just refuses to print.

Check that the ip address that the printer is using (diagnostics printout) and check it against what your pc is trying to print to (port settings in the printer config, via devices and printers in control panel).
if they match try opening the printer via your browser so say your printer ip address is 192.168.0.3 , type that into the url bar of your browser and see if it loads up the printer webpage. See how that goes first of all.
