Anyone had them / got them / starting with something? Our lads familly is always ill, he works at a Primary school and she's at a hospital so bugs galore. BUT the wife said she had been fighting something for a few days but two days ago it really came out and today....well she's a proper patient. I've avoided everything so far, but I think this ones gonna get me.

Yep. Been struggling for a couple of weeks now. Started with a really sore throat - like I was swallowing razor blades. Then became the cough from hell. 4 days solid of coughing fits and very little sleep. Covid test was negative but I'm thinking it has been Covid. Last few days the cough has subsided but my mouth has been numb and sore and food is either tasteless or vile. Today feels like it's a bit better and I'm eating and drinking a bit more.

Hope your wife is on the mend soon.

I almost never get colds and actually never get flu .................. I'm just lucky.
My daughter-in-law gets absolutely everything, I argue it's because she's a vegetarian. ;)

Rarely get ill...maybe the sniffles from time to time..
They say the difference between a cold and flu is whether you'd bend down to pick up a tenner ...with the flu you won't..
Well, in that case, I've never had the flu....
Constitution of, and some might say body, of an Ox.....🐮

Yip it’s floored our full house this year. This last week’s been torture. Last night especially coughing fits all night from every room.

My wife has a bug at the moment. She has not left the bed since Friday and hardly eaten anything either.
I even offered to take her shopping and she said no so must be unwell.
The most she has done is look at her phone for a bit which is most unlike her.
I’m not sure what to do with myself today, might go and sit in the car park at the range for an hour so it feels like a normal day 😂

I had my 'flu jab last Monday afternoon, went to play golf on Tuesday morning feeling a bit ropey and by the time I got to the fourth hole I was aching all over. Called it a day and drove home. By the time I got home, I felt a wreck so off to bed. Three days later and at last starting to feel better.

It must of hit you really bad as it’s now 6 days later 😂
Hope you feel better soon mate 👍

We are in Liverpool at the mo. Wife had perked up enough to risk going. She managed four hours of pottering round the shops then we gave up. After a sleep we went out for dinner. The alcohol was being consumed at a faster than normal rate, but she was in fire and I thought all was well. But no. This morning after breakfast she went back to bed for an extra two hours of kip. Left me to wander about in me own. Very weird feeling. Met up for lunch and a bit of shopping. Not much purchased. Resting now before dinner tonight. She's adamant that no alcohol will be drunk by her tonight. Lol.

If it stops the wife shopping then that must be a positive side effect! ;)
