do you change balls in winter? i use taylormade XD all year round tried various balls but seemed to get on with these best and they dont break the bank when i loose them. When its really cold and the ground is icey/white looking i use srixon ad333 orange ones but thats only for a month or so.

ive started buying from ebay pearl\AAA condition ones as bulk buying works out cheaper as old man uses mine as well

will be changing to srixon add 333's in few weeks for when i play me home course and
i use older pro v1s/pentas when i play my second course

I did, I used the Bridgestone XFIXX last winter as a replacement for the AD333 I was using at the time. I now hit the ball a lot better and use Bridgestone RXs330 balls, or the occasional NXT Tours. When I was in Direct Golf the other week buying some new balls, the manager in their was suggesting that I should continue to use the RXs330 all year round, not to change for the winter.

There's no real reason for the majority to change ball, the major factor is losing more due to plugging.
Having said that I've changed to Cally HX Hot/NXT Tour style balls as the greens are so soft I'm getting huge backspin on approach shots. Even long irons are sucking back a yard or 3 with a ProV style ball. The NXTT's are stopping less quickly and rolling out a little, making them much easier to judge.
Even got backspin with a 7 ironed Molitor last week!!

Id be the same, I have started using up my collection of reasonable finders (no scrap) or would buy medium range balls from the proshop. I have a couple of ProV1x's left from the summer and they will be staying in the bag.

Yep, no need for the prov's / z-star in the winter when greens are so soft.
keep the used prov's for the summer practice bag.

Cheap balls for winter league here.

I play an AD333 all year and see no reason to change in the winter.

Having said that I'm thinking of swapping to the NXT tour next year so next winter may be a different story.

NXT's and Srixon Z-Star Tour Yellow's for me.

Like the Tour Yellows normally as they do stand out better on poorer visability days.
Big fan of the newer Z-Stars so either use them or Pro V's in summer.

I have swapped out my prov1s and bridgestone 330rx for some srixon trispeeds and the odd pts. The only thing is, I find I am using a new one every round, as they Mark up very easily, and so it would probably be cheaper to use the provs all year anyway.

Interesting most people seem to change as they dont want to lose their tour balls - for me its more a case of the tour balls just spin like crazy on wet greens making it uncontrollable, some last week were spinning 30ft+ whereas a harder ball will stop but not spin
