Windows 10

A bit of thread drift. I have resisted upgrading from Windows 10 to 11 because of (unsubstantiated) comments of issues with Windows 11. I’m now getting MS campaigns to upgrade, pushing connectivity improvements with IOS phones, tablets. I use my laptop mainly for email, browsing and Office 365 stuff. I don’t game. My wife and I have iPhones and we use an ipad.

Any recommendations?
I got myself a second hand Lenovo X280 a few months ago and upgraded that to Windows 11. I like it as an interface and prefer it to the Windows 10 on my company laptop.

As always happens, after me saying all the issues appear resolved, I installed W11 on the workshop laptop (Lenovo with 8th Gen i5 and 8Gb of DDR4L 2166MHz) and lo-and-behold today, BSOD after BSOD.

Event Log just showing unexpected memory dumps. 16 UMDs in 24 hours compared to 7 in 12 Months. Where's that facepalm emoji...

Tempted to try it on my "house" laptop which is a newer HP x360 with a 10th gen i7 and 16Gb of DDR4L 2666Mhz and see if it's possibly a legacy hardware compat issue. Either way, think the workshop laptop needs rolled back to W10 as I need it working reliably for the CNC and design work.
